Scott Blake

Scott Blake is a fantasitic artist who does art with using barcodes..He was born in Tampa, Florida in 1976. He currently lives in Omaha, Nebraska.  He has his own web site which I am getting most of this information from considering i couldnt find any other biographies on him. Im not to sure why but I could  find plenty of his pictures but not much to say about him. On his web site he also has his dream catagories for Jeopardy, whic are Skateboarding, Photoshop, Beans and Rice, Homemade Pyrotechnics, Etheogens, The Simpsons, Gameboy Tetris. So ibelieve this saus somehting about his presonality. It seems as if he is outgoing and kind of nerdy fun guy.


He has art exbitditions in Savanna Georgia at the Savanna College of art and Design called the Reflections of Jane Fonda in 2001. Then in Brooklynn, New York in 2002 at the Stuhltrager Gallery he did Bar Codes for Jesus. In 2003 he did ghetto gallery #11 at the Ghetto Gallery in Savannah Georgia. In 2005 at the Bemis Center for Contempary Arts in Omaha Nebraska called the Bring Your Bar Codes. In 2006 at W Dale CLark Libray in Omaha he did the ALtered Book Exhibit. In 2006 in Winston- Salem North Carlonis he did the Art Vending machines at the Art-O-Mat. In 2007 at the Quartier Fur Digitale Kultur in Wienna Austrailia he did the Monochrom Presents Scott Blake. In 2008 he had two in Omaha the Mummy Shwo at the Torcadero Boutique and The Barcamp Omaha in Frost Acres. The last one is in 2009 called Agents and Provacateurs at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Dunaujvaros in Hungary.
He also has shows The Bracode Elvis is on dispaly at the Ripleys Believe it or Not! Fishermans Warf in San Diego, California. The Barcode Oprah is on display at Ripleys Aquarium in Myrtile Beach, South Carolina. He is also attending a 2 week artsit residency program in Johnson, Vermont this month.

He has Publications in FHM Magazine, Art Papers Magazine, District Newspaper, The Body-Mined Show Catalog, New York Times Newspaper and on Tech TV Live and many more.
